School of International Studies, Yunnan University has started to enroll 2013 International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programs which mainly favor ASEAN countries students. We warmly welcome qualified ASEAN countries students to apply for enrollment. The details are as follows:
1. Categories of Applicants and Duration of Scholarship
Master Degree: 2-3 years
Doctoral Degree: 3-4 years
2. Selection of Major Studies
Doctoral Majors: International Studies, World History, World Ethnicity and Ethnic Issue
Master Majors: International Studies, International Politics, World Economics, World Ethnicity and Ethnic Issues, World History
3. Deadline
March 15, 2013 (the date of documents’ arrival at the our school)
4. Criteria & Eligibility
(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and have got foreign citizenship for no less than 6 years, and be in good health. The scholarship is only for enrollment of new foreign students, not for students already in China.
(2) Education background and age limit:
– Applicants for master’s degree program must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
– Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
5. Submission Online
(1)Applicants who have submitted online with the CSC Online Application System for Study in China must download, print and delivers the Application Form (3 copies) and other hardcopy documents (3 copies) toSchool of International Studies, Yunnan University.
(2)The CSC Online Application System for Study in China is available on http://laihua.csc.edu.cn .
(3)When submitting online, the first blank of the Application Form is Code for Enrollment Institution. The code for our university is 10673. Please fill in properly.
6. Application Documents (two copies)
(1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (filled in and submitted in Chinese or English on website: http://laihua.csc.edu.cn, download and print), one original & one copy.
(2) Highest diploma (notarized photocopy): Applicants shall also provide proof of studying on application or proof of work if they are working. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(3) A study or research plan (no less than 800 words).
(4) 2 Recommendation Letters from Professors or Associate Professors
(5) Photocopy of Passport
(6) Photocopy of HSK score. Applicants with on HSK score are required to take Chinese language courses for 1-2 years before pursuing major studies.
(7) Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form printed by Chinese quarantine authority could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn) in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
