Description of REACH:
REACH provides vocational training services for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth. REACH matches our training to the needs of the employers and the jobs that exist in the locations where we work. Since 2004 over 7,700 young people from vulnerable backgrounds have graduated from this vocational training program and are now successfully employed.
REACH offers 3-month intensive vocational training in:
• Hospitality
• Sales & Marketing (CRSM)
• Information technology (Web + Graphic Design)
• Nail Art
• Housekeeping
• Hair dressing and make up
Job purpose:
To facilitate REACH training and support students at REACH with their job placement. Develop lesson plans and syllabus, provide counseling support, and follow up with post-graduates.
Tasks and Duties:
– Deliver technical training on Food and Beverage,
– Probably be required to train REACH students on Life Skills, Work Readiness Skills or some modules at the incumbent’s capacities,
– Responsible to prepare detailed lesson plans and weekly training schedules from the REACH curriculum,
– Invite and schedule guest lecturers (work with B2Y)
– Maintain and develop REACH’s business network in the Food and Beverage sector
– Responsible for job placements of high quality (good salary, benefits, working hours) for each student (at least 80% of graduates)
– Support any unemployed graduates to find employment post batch up to 6 months
– Arrange internship workplace for students and visit 80% of them
– Student assessments
– Counseling and emotional support for students
– Support the Youth Affairs Officer with all Mobilization activities (recruiting new students, Selection Day, Home Visits)
– Request & carry purchasing for relevant activities,
– Responsible for completing anything reasonable the Regional Manager asks for the benefit of REACH
Job requirements:
– The successful candidate must have
– Thorough understanding the service process (steps).
– Professional skills about the type of service
– Good Skill in mixing drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Understanding drinks
– The standard basic operations to guide students (table setup and placing, open, pour wine, etc.)
– At least 5 year experience in the Food and Beverage sector.
– At least 1 year experience in restaurant manager position
– Experience in training sector, preferably in vocational training
– Ability to work effectively with students from disadvantaged backgrounds
– Good knowledge of the labor market (restaurant, hotel, services.)
– Communication and negotiation skills
– Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint are required)
– English skills (oral, written) preferable
– Strong team spirit
– Be dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible
