ENGLISH TUTORING VOLUNTEER
STREETS INTERNATIONAL (STREETS) is an international, social enterprise initiative for disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. STREETS opened in Hoi An, Vietnam in January 2009, providing program participants with a future of dignity through vocational hospitality and culinary training. We are looking for native-speaking volunteer(s) to provide English instructions and tutoring to STREETS trainees. As a volunteer at STREETS, you are part of our professional team working to build up Trainees’ self-confidence and abilities to communicate and work in a cross-cultural context. Your job is an important and valuable contribution to that effort.
Location: HoiAn city, Quang Nam province.
Job Responsibilities
- Tutor Trainees in beginning and intermediate conversation English
- Review Trainees’ English speaking, writing and reading and assignments.
- Contribute by monitoring Trainees’ progress and providing input and regular feedback.
- Work closely with the entire STREETS team to ensure the overall success of the Trainees
Skills
- Ability to communicate with Trainees in a friendly, non-judgmental manner; ability to convey basic rules of English conversation and correct pronunciation.
- Teaching experience or work with young adults preferred but not required
Requirements
- English – native speakers.
- Non-smokers only.
Time commitment: Minimum 6 months/ Minimum 8 hours per week.

HOSPITALITY TRAINING VOLUNTEER

We are looking for a Hospitality Training Volunteer. As a volunteer at the STREETS, you are part of our professional team working to build up trainees’ self-confidence and abilities to communicate and work in a cross-cultural context. Your job is an important and valuable contribution to that effort..
Location: Hoi An, Quang Nam, Vietnam
Job Functions:
- Provide classroom training in guest service and hospitality arts, following internationally credentialed curriculum and lesson plans.
- Ensure optimal training experience
- Evaluate student progress and curriculum updates.
Requirements:
- College degree, diploma or other certification in hospitality arts preferred.
- Hospitality Supervisory or Teaching experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including spoken English.
- 100% non-smoking.
Salary: Volunteer/Negotiable
