01 Head of EDS (Environment and Development Section) at AITVN in HCMC Office
Basic Function:
– Leader of the Section of Environment and Development
– Represents AITVN in the field of Environment and Development
Supervision: 5 Program Officers & 2 Program Assistants
Duties and responsibilities:
– Sets goals and develops plans and programs; ensures quality of the Section operation
– Provides leadership and direction for the EDS team
– Recruits and selects staff and consultants
– Develops training plans for the staff of the Section
– Establishes and maintains services and collaborations with external partners to achieve work plan and long-term development of the Section.
– Manages operation of the section including marketing, technical, administrative and financial activities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of EDS activities in full compliance with clients/donors requirements and AIT/AITVN regulations and standards
– Others tasks as may be assigned by the Director time to time
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of environmental institutions, industries and market in Vietnam
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing demands and institutions
- Experience in promoting and consulting activities
- Excellent command of English and Vietnamese
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Master’s degree or higher (Environmental Engineering, Environment Management, Development Studies and related field is a must)
- At least ten years of experience in the areas of training and consultation, project implementation and monitoring training, education and promotion
- Understanding of AIT academic structures and AITVN operation process is helpful
