It uses science, economics and law to create solutions which protect the environment, minimize climate change and promote growth.
As part of EDF’s International Program, EDF-Vietnam focuses on the two sectors which produce the highest level of greenhouse gas emissions in Vietnam, Agriculture and Energy. The policies, technologies and practices of these sectors can make major contributions in helping Vietnam to shift to a Low Carbon Economy and limit the impact of climate change.
EDF office in Viet Nam is now seeking a professional for the position of Finance and Administration Officer for its office in Ha Noi. Reporting to the Director of Climate Change Program, the incumbent is expected to perform a wide range of financial and administration duties associated with the office’s daily operations and the implementation of projects in the field.
Key responsibilities:
1. Finance and Accounting:
– Check, verify and process financial documentation, including orders, invoices and payment to vendors and reimbursement to office staff/consultant in accordance with EDF policies and procedures
– Keep track and process the personal income tax for staff/consultant in accordance with the government’s requirements
– Manage office petty cash
– Prepare office’s monthly expenditure report
– Maintain of proper control and filing of the supporting documents for all payments and financial reports
– Regularly review and update office’s insurance and equipment inventory
– Other finance-accounting related work as required or needed (i.e. bank account, social insurance etc)
2. Administration and Logistic:
– Provide administrative, programmatic and logistical support to projects, workshops, conferences and other programs (i.e. travel arrangements, financial advancement, translation and interpretation, contact relevant partners etc.)
– Manage the repair, servicing and maintenance of office computers/laptop/printers (IT) and supplies, furniture and equipment; maintain system for efficient vendors and services;
– Liaise with government (VUFO/PACCOM) as assigned and with other local authorities about any issues related to Office Permit, visa, tax, public fees and other public obligations
– Assists the Director for all tasks related to human resources for the office: recruitment, hiring staff or consultants, payroll, labor contract issuance and management.
Qualification Requirements:
– University graduate
– Very good command of spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
– Minimum of one or two years of relevant professional experience; preferably in INGOs
– Strong commitments to learn and to do better with I CAN attitude
– Ability to meet deadlines, to multitask, and to work independently as well as part of a team.
– Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
– Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
– Computer skills especially in MS Office
