Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on conservation of nature and the environment. Their mission is to foster greater understanding amongst the Vietnamese public about environmental issues of local, national and global significance, ranging from protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems to climate change. They employ creative and innovative strategies to influence attitudes and behavior, not only highlighting the need to protect Vietnam’s rich natural heritage and the living world around us, but also encouraging greater public participation in achieving this important and challenging task.

Position available
ENV is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Public Awareness (PA) Program Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of ENV’s major public awareness campaigns in close cooperation with other ENV programs. The PA Program Coordinator reports to the ENV Operations Director & Management Board.
Main responsibilities:
1. Supervise public awareness program staff
Supervise project officers and assistants under the public awareness program
2. Develop and manage public awareness campaigns
Help design and develop public awareness campaigns. Organize meetings, workshops, surveys, and other public events
3. Administer regular program activities
– Develop ENV’s monthly Voice of Vietnam (VOV) radio show on wildlife trade issue
– Provide oversight and supervision of ENV’s websites
4. Coordinate with the media
– Organize press conferences and brief journalists of relevant issues
– Produce press releases relevant to ENV activities
– Work with film and education experts to produce TV news segments and short films in support of campaign activities
5. Other assignments from ENV Operations Director & Management Board.
Requirements
– University degree and above 26 years old.
– Excellent English and Vietnamese (both verbal and written). Excellent Vietnamese writing and editing skills required
– Strong communication, organization and coordination skills
– Strong presentation skills
– Full competency in the basic office computer programs
– Ability to work independently, take initiative, and pay close attention to details
– Prefer work experience in a position of responsibility
