Overview
SNVs Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) team require a consultant to assist with significant changes to their website. The successful consultant will need to have a high proficiency in:
– Uploading/editing information on website (and intranet) at request of regional/country communication officers
– Creating/removing links to website material
– Giving an alert to regional/country communication officers if an update is needed
– Providing technical advice on web management when necessary
Background & requirements
SNV REDD is an expanding team within the SNV Asia profile and is looking to improve the way in which it communicates its work to key stakeholders. A focus of these efforts will be to improve the existing SNV REDD website – www.snvworld.org/en/regions/asia/ourwork/Pages/REDD.aspx
The SNV REDD team has established a list of key changes that would be required to make the website more user-friendly, visually attractive, informative and up to date. The consultant would be responsible for discussing these changes and implementing them directly.
There is also a growing need within SNV to ensure that the website is maintained at a high standard. Therefore, the consultant would also be responsible for providing guidance to SNVs Business Development Officer (BDO) to ensure they are equipped to maintain the website.
Outputs
– Meeting (either personally or conference call if working remotely) with SNV REDD team members to agree on the required changes;
– Changes made to the website in accordance with the agreed the needs identified by the SNV team; and
– Written and verbal guidance to BDO to ensure the future up-keep of the website.
Consultant’s capacity requirements
– Familiar in using Sharepoint
– Familiar with SNV corporate identity guide
– Experience in on-line support in website and intranet management
– Timely delivery of work
