Center for Health System Research (CHSR), Hanoi Medical University is established through a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation and the China Medical Board. The CHSR works closely with the Department of Health Economics and the Center of Excellence in Economic Evaluation, Hanoi Medical University to implement trainings and researches relating to health system and health economics. The mission of the CHSR is to promote the development of health care in Vietnam which are responsive, affordable and accessible to all and at all places at all times by working closely together with all involved stakeholders of the health care systems.
The CHSR is looking for qualified and dynamic Vietnamese citizen to fill the following position:
1. Position information:
• Position title: Health System Researcher
• Reporting to: Coordinator of the CHSR
• Contract: Three years (2011-2013) with possibility of extension
Key task:
• Work with the research team at CHSR to design research projects addressing critical issues in health system in Vietnam
• Implement research projects as assigned by the coordinator of the CHSR
• Coordinate and organize training courses/workshops of the CHSR
• Seek and provide relevant information for updating the center’s website
• Take part in other fund raising of the center (writing up grant, research proposals)
• Take part in other management activities of the CHSR (planning, monitoring, reporting, etc)

Required qualification:
• Master degree in health economics, health policy, health management, public health or epidemiology
• Excellent English competency
• Good knowledge of health system in Vietnam and in the World
• Good research skills (research design, research implementation, data analysis and report writing, etc)
• Good computer skills for office works (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect) and statistical analysis (Stata, SPSS, ect)
• Ability to work independently and to deliver quality work on time.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Vietnam and abroad.
2. Position information:
• Position title: Research Assistant
• Reporting to: Coordinator of the CHSR
• Contract: Three years (2011-2013) with possibility of extension
Key task:
• Assist the coordinator and researchers of the CHSR in planning, implementing, and managing training and research activities of the CHSR
• Manage and update the center’s website

• University degree
