Tổ chức Bảo tồn Động thực vật Quốc tế (FFI) cần tuyển cán bộ dự án. Hạn nộp hồ sơ: 15/08/2010
FFI’s mission is to conserve threatened species and ecosystems world-wide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, are based on sound science and take account of human needs.
FFI’s strategy to achieve this mission is to work with in-country organisations at all levels to support them in identifying and implementing country led sustainable solutions.
The strategic goal of the FFI Vietnam Collaborative Management Programme is to develop successful models of collaborative management to influence national policy and legislation development regarding special use forest management in Vietnam.
The Collaborative Management Programme was initially built based on existing long-term primate-focused and community-based conservation projects in northern Vietnam that maintain important populations of Critically Endangered primates in Ha Giang, Yen Bai and in Son La Provinces. To achieve this strategic goal, a new collaborative management approach is being launched at Khau Ca of Ha Giang, Mu Cang Chai of Yen Bai and Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong of Hoa Binh provinces.
Fauna & Flora International – Vietnam Programme is recruiting a Project Field Officer
Forest dependent people living in and around protected areas have direct conflict with the current strict no-use management regimes of Vietnamese terrestrial protected areas. FFI Vietnam has been supporting Mu Cang Chai Species and Habitat Conservation Area to develop a pioneering model of collaborative management since 2003 with aims to soften the strict no-use regime and permit managed sustainable natural resource management within protected area for both biodiversity conservation gains and rural livelihoods.
The on-going development of this model highlights the need for, and role of, institutions to continue to involve local communities in natural resource management. FFI is continuing to support local partners with view to improve the functions of community-
based organizations and upscale to other protected areas. The future project will capitalize and build on FFI pioneering work on collaborative management in Mu Cang Chai to Khau Ca of Ha Giang province and Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong of Hoa Binh province.
The position will be based in Hanoi with frequent visits to implement activities at project sites in Khau Ca Species and Habitat Conservation Area, Ha Giang province.
