Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Lâm nghiệp Thế giới (ICRAF) là một trong 15 trung tâm Tư vấn nghiên cứu Nông Lâm nghiệp quốc tế (CGIAR). Hiện nay, ICRAF Việt Nam đang cần tuyển Quản lý Kỹ thuật cho dự án Rupes giai đoạn II tại Việt Nam. Hạn cuối nộp hồ sơ là 28/02/2009. Thông tin chi tiết như sau:
The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF, ULR: http://www.worldagroforestrycentre.org) is supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). The centre generates science-based knowledge about the complex role that trees play in agricultural landscapes and uses its research to ensure that policies and practices benefit the poor and the environment. Rupes II (Rewards, Use and Shared Investment in Pro-poor Environmental Services phase II) – the regional Asian program- is one of the important research profiles of ICRAF. The project aims at to develop and disseminate pro-poor payment for environmental service mechanisms across a number of Asian countries, including Vietnam (ULR: http://www.worldagroforestry.org/sea/networks/rupes/index.asp).
The selected candidate is offered to work full-time in the innovative and transparent research team at the ICRAF Vietnam office in the middle of Hanoi, with regular field visits to Bac Kan province. The position starts at the beginning of April 2009 with main following tasks and responsibilities:
* Technical coordination for project implementation (30% time), including:
o Planning and managing the Rupes II national advisory network of Vietnam;
o Planning, preparing TOR and recruiting consultants to support for project implementation;
o Providing technical support to local partners and monitoring project activities as designed;
* Involving as one of principle investigators in Rupes research activities in Bac Kan province (50% time);
* Maintaining regular communication and linking activities with regional Rupes II of SEA and with other ICRAF Vietnam programs through workshops, meetings, reporting, writing scientific and popular publications (20% time).
Requirements/Qualification:
– Any nationality with working languages in English and Vietnamese, holding at least an international Master Degree in environmental sciences, environmental management, natural resources management, rural development, agriculture/forestry, social sciences or related fields;
– Having at least 3 years of experience in doing research, networking, coordinating and communication of international projects in the related fields. Specifically:
o Having knowledge on project management, research planning, implementing and scientific writing
o Having good skill of communication and negotiation, writing progress technical reports and documentation;
o Having ability in managing stressful working situation and team work spirits;
o Good command of computer usage: Windows, Office package, Email and Internet. Knowledge on private sector, voluntary/mandatory carbon market and policy making process is an additional merit.
Competitive salary package with social and health insurance is fully covered. The successful applicant will be offered first one year contract (3 months of probation applied) with the possibility of extension.
