POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
General:
Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources, and protect the environment. The Asia Regional Biodiversity Conservation Program (ARBCP) works is to improve the sustainable management of natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity in the Mekong Region. In September 2008, Winrock International received a two-year extension to consolidate achievements in the initial ARBCP pilot site and to directly apply lessons learned in other parts of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
Winrock International is currently looking to hire two additional staff members to join our team:
1) POSITION TITLE: DALAT FIELD COORDINATOR
Position summary:
Field Coordinator will assist the Conservation Finance Manager to implement ARBCP’s activities in Lam Dong, Dong Nai, and Binh Phuoc Provinces as well as consolidate and mainstream pilot biodiversity conservation and Pilot Payment for Forest Environmental Services (PFES). In addition, Field Coordinator will assist with the establishment of a Global Climate Change(GCC) mitigation component in Lam Dong Province based on developing forest carbon offset projects for sale through the voluntary carbon market, and support the MARD to develop and test its national global climate change adaptation and mitigation strategy in Lam Dong, Dong Nai River Basin.
Position location : Dalat City, Lam Dong Province
Major responsibilities
* Implement and report for weekly, monthly.. work plans for field sites to ensure the results will be alignment with project strategy and targets;
* Contribute and/or facilitate for data collection of technical surveys (forest measurement), socioeconomic surveys in trainings and monitoring in the watershed areas, LDP.
* Assist with establishing/monitoring/reporting of communities that’s involved in PFES pilot sites in implementation of the 380 Decision of PM, in LDP.
* Assist with establishing/monitoring/reporting of communities that’s involved in PFES pilot sites in implementation of the 380 Decision of PM, in LDP.
* Facilitate for gauging stations (installing, monitoring, training, and reporting).
* Maintain field level financial reports and records in accordance Winrock and USAID policies and procedures; and
* Facilitate/organize for project activities, meetings in transaction between ARBCP and Lam Dong province that include the LDP’s working group for both PFES and Carbon projects.
* Other tasks as identified by the Conservation Finance Manager.
Required skills :
* Vietnamese national with excellent English skills (speaking and writing)
* Education background in agronomy/forestry-a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience;
* A forester or related subject that is able to contribute and facilitate for technical surveys (forest measurement, and socioeconomic surveys and trainings
* Liaise with local governments (Commune, District and Province), partners and other stakeholders including the Private sector. Good understanding and good relationship with Lam Dong counterparts.
* Proven experience in survey and interview skills, working with local level stakeholders,
* Proficiency in the use of computer software: Word, Excel, Power Point. Proficiency in the use of Access program is preferred
* Proven interpretation and translation skills
* Excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills
2) POSITION TITLE: ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FIELD COORDINATOR
Position summary:
Field Coordinator will assist the Sustainable Rural Enterprise Manager to implement ARBCP’s activities in Lam Dong, Dong Nai, and Binh Phuoc Provinces to continue support the development of public private partnerships developed to purchase value-added sustainable forestry, bamboo, essential oils and cacao products.
Position location : Da Teh district, Lam Dong province
Major responsibilities :
* Assist with preparation and implementation of monthly work plans and update reports for field sites, ensuring alignment with project strategy and targets,
* Provide assistance in organizing community groups to establish cooperatives or grower clubs for contracting agreement buyers;
* Monitor bamboo handicraft and essential oils processing activities
* Liaise with local governments (Commune, District and Province), partners and other stakeholders including the Private sector;
* Facilitate logistical arrangement for meetings, workshops, and trainings to be organized in the field, and report on feedback from partners and beneficiaries;
* Working with the SREC, perform monitoring and evaluation of the activities;
* Assist with the data collection activities as required to develop project lessons learned and best practices;
* Maintain field level financial reports and records in accordance Winrock and USAID policies and procedures; and
* Other tasks as identified by the Sustainable Rural Enterprise Manager.
Required skills :
* Vietnamese national with excellent English skills (speaking and writing)
* Education background in business management or sustainable development
* Proven experience working with local level stakeholders and communities
* Proficiency in the use of computer software: Word, Excel, Power Point. Proficiency in the use of Access program is preferred

Salaries :
Annual salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
