PROJECT ASSITANT FOR HIV/AIDS AND HEALTH PROJECT
CARE in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organisation representing the CARE International network. CARE in Vietnam is a creative and dynamic organisation, working with Vietnamese partners in the sectors of health, rural development and disaster mitigation and preparedness.
CARE is seeking an Vietnamese to fill a position of Project Assistant for a health project which aims at strengthening capacity of People living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), health authorities/workers and other policy makers to understand, demand and enforce PLHIV?s legal entitlements. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with travels to other project sites and will work in close partnership with project partners, especially self ? help groups of PLHIV.
Major responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in:
– Carry out all day-to-day project financial and administrative work including making advance and acquittal, fund transferring, travel arrangement
– Work in close partnership with self-help groups of people living with HIV and most at risk population;
– Conducting regular monitoring activities to ensure the quality of work undertaken by project partners and CBOs;
– Contribute to the development of training curriculum, training materials
– Prepare and organize training workshops in Hanoi and other project sites as required, including logistic arrangements, contact with participants, preparing materials, taking minutes, etc.
– Maintain good working relations with partners and staff
– Collect, analyze and manage information to develop progress reports on project activities in the agreed formats
Selection Criteria:
– At least 1 year experience in HIV/AIDS programming or community-based health projects ;
– Experience in working with self-help groups of PLHIV is preferred;
– Adequate computer skills in Word, Excel, and email applications;
– Ability to basically communicate in English;
