VACANCIES AT EAST MEETS WEST FOUNDATION
East Meets West Foundation (EMW) is one of the largest and most productive humanitarian development non-government organizations in Vietnam. We are seeking 3 caliber national candidates to join our dynamic and professional teams to carry out a comprehensive program to support people with disabilities in Danang City and surrounding area. The program will last for three years.
Position 1: Project Manager
Main responsibilities
1. Project management: the incumbent will work closely with the current national program coordinator to plan, manage and coordinate relevant resources to deliver planned results to EMW?s quality standards. Regular reporting is expected at any given notice.
2. Staff management: the incumbent will manage a team of one Project Officer, a Program Assistant, and a network of volunteers in the whole province to achieve the project objectives
3. Finance management: the incumbent will oversee and monitor the project budget in line with EMW standards and norms.
4. Partnership management: The successful candidate will be responsible for an effective and smooth coordination with a variety of local and international partners working in the same field in Danang province.
Position 2: Project Officer
Main responsibilities:
Assists the Project Manager in managing the project in Da Nang to ensure efficient implementation and operation of the project to achieve the set objectives.
1. Project planning: successful candidate will support the project manager in implementing the project approved work plan.
2. Staff management: the incumbent will supervise one Project Assistant to fulfill the work plan
3. Financial management: the incumbent is responsible for book keeping and financial transactions related to the project in line with EMW standards and norms.
Position 3: Project Assistant
Main responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Project Officer to handle administrative, financial, and logistical work to ensure EMW?s quality standards.
2. Developing and maintaining daily communication, cooperation and partnership with local partners to facilitate effective implementation of the project.
Desired qualifications include:
For Project Manager:
1. University degree, preferably in health, education or community development studies. Holding a master degree in relevant areas is an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in public health, social work or community development. Background and professional experience in working with people with disabilities would be an advantage.
3. Advanced management skills, liaison and networking skills, sound analytical skills
1. University degree, preferably in health, education or community development studies.
2. Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience in public health, social work or community development. Background and professional experience in working with people with disabilities would be an advantage.
3. Reasonable management skills, liaison and networking skills, sound analytical skills
For Project Assistant:
1. University degree, preferably in health, education or community development studies.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in public health, social work or community development. Background and professional experience in working with people with disabilities would be an advantage.

1. Professional attitude and diligence
2. Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
4. Excellent computer skills
5. Able to work independently as well as work in a team.
6. Able to deal with pressure and deadlines and solve problems
7. Willing to travel and work in rural areas
