ACCOUNTANT – HANOI
CARE in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organisation and is part of the CARE International network. CARE in Vietnam is a creative and dynamic organisation, working with Vietnamese partners in the sectors of health, rural development and disaster mitigation and preparedness.
CARE is seeking applications to fill a position of Accountant in its Finance Department in Hanoi. The Accountant will work closely with a team of accountants in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and those based at project sites. While working together, the main purpose of this position is to make effective contribution leading to sound financial management of CARE Program in Vietnam. The position offers an excellent career opportunity with an organization that is expanding its portfolio and activities in Vietnam.
Major responsibilities:
– Preparing financial reports;
– Preparing reconciliation of projects and balance sheet accounts
– Providing support to project partners and staff on financial procedures;
– Conducting capacity assessments of partner organisations;
– Assisting project staff in the preparation of project budgets and costed work plans;
– Reviewing payment vouchers and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with CARE’s financial and donor guidelines.
– Any other duties as reasonable and in line with oganizational priorities
Selection Criteria:
– University Degree in Accounting/Finance or in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
– Minimum 2 years work experience as an Accountant with a reputable organization
– Experience using computerized accounting systems (preferably SUN accounting software)
– High level of responsibility and learning aptitude
– Good interpersonal skills and fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
– Experience using software such as Excel, Word and financial reporting applications
– Willingness to travel to project sites within Vietnam when required.
Annual Gross Salary Range: $USD5, 000 – $7,500 depending on skills and experience.
