Project assistant for Forest Protection Program, Quang Binh
The Cologne Zoo from Germany (CZ), in collaboration with the Peoples? Committee of Quang Binh, carries out a Nature Conservation Project in the Phong Nha ? Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province. The activities of CZ are mainly focused on Wildlife Rescue & Release, surveys & research on mammals and herpetodiversity, and, in close cooperation with the local FPD, a Forest Protection Program.
CZ is now seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Assistant, mainly for the coordination and supervision of the Forest Protection Program. The Project Assistant will work under direct supervision of the Project Manager.

Phong Nha ? Ke Bang National Park
Quang Binh Province
Vietnam
Main responsibilities:
– Coordination and supervision of patrol activities of three Ranger Stations, including occasional participation in patrols
– Monthly meetings with the Ranger Stations and control of patrol report sheets
– Assistance with the management of all activities related to the Forest Protection Program (preparation of trainings, workshops etc.)
– Translation of project documents and interpretation during meetings
– Assistance for students, volunteers and scientists
– Organisation of surveys including participation in field work if necessary
Qualification requirements:
– Fluent in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written)
– Strong commitment to and interest in conservation and environment protection
– Physically fit to conduct field work
– Good interpersonal skills
– Good knowledge of MS office software (especially Word and Excel)
– University degree (biology, forestry, agriculture, other natural resource management disciplines preferred but not obligatory)
Remuneration will be based on qualifications, previous work experience, and salary history.
