Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) is a grassroots NGO based in Hanoi , Vietnam . It is dedicated to serving orphans, homeless children and other children in need in Vietnam by providing assistance in the areas of food, shelter, clothing, health and education. Services are provided directly to the children by HSCV or through local Vietnamese child-based organizations addressing these needs.

We offer a* 1 year* Contract with a 19 days probationary period, with a salary of $350 – $400 per month depending on qualifications . The start-date is immediate.

*Qualifications and experience:*
? University degree with at least 2 years of working experience in community development works or humanitarian works
? Excellent English language skills, oral and written
? Strong computer skills
? Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
? Ability to work independently and in teams
? Experience in Project management including monitoring/evaluation and report writing
? Willing to travel and work in rural areas
Working experience with international NGO is preferable

Position: Project Manager
Duty Station: HSCV?s Ha Noi office, Viet Nam

Report to: Manager National Programs and Vice President
Background:
Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) is a grassroots NGO based in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. It is dedicated to serving orphans, homeless children and other children in need in Vietnam by providing assistance the areas of food shelter, clothing health and education. Services are provided directly to the children by HSCV or through local Vietnamese child based organizations addressing these needs.
Primary objective:
The primary objective of this position is to manage the Heart Surgery, Wheelchair Distributions, and Family Interviews
Scope of work and main responsibilities:
? General Duties
o Liaise with local authorities, national and local hospitals, service providers, families and children, and relevant agencies
o Design, plan, conduct monitor and evaluate all project activities.
o Complete necessary reports in a timely manner
? Heart Surgery
o Obtain lists of potential patients from local partners and local authorities
o Conduct interviews with potential beneficiaries and their families and complete the Medical Qualification Form and take photos of eligible children
? Enter all field data in appropriate files on sever.
o When necessary conduct field visits to meet and interview families and complete the Family Assistance Qualification Form.
o Transfer money to local partners or hospitals and update heard surgery and rehabilitation payment records to reflect these payments.
o Provide assistance and support to the children and families (before, during and after surgery)
o Analyze and report project activities, lessons learned and make recommendations/suggestions for project development based on information gathered from doctors, physiotherapists, technicians, families and children.

? Wheelchair Distributions
o Travel to project sites and attend the wheelchair donations
o Work with local partners

? Assist with the translation of documents, as needed
o Recipient Interviews ? Stories
? Oversee interviews by staff and volunteers
? Collect stories and save in appropriate files on HSCV sever
? Interview recipients/beneficiaries and take photos
? Compost wheelchair recipient?s stories based on interviews
o Recipient Information
? Collect lists of all recipients
? Ensure data is entered into appropriate file on HSCV server
o Transportation
? Arrange transportation to donation sites
? Arrange payment for transportation
o Analyze and report project activities, lessons learned and make recommendations/suggestions for project development based on information gathered
o Assigned Reports
? Verbal Reports at HSCV staff meetings ? interoffice purposes
? Monthly Reports ? In office purposes
? Shipment Reports ? In office, National, International, Board and Partners
? Quarterly Reports ? In office, National, International and HSCV Board
? Home Visits
o Obtain list of potential families and children from local partners and /of local authorities.
o Make arrangements with local authorities to visit homes.
o Conduct field visits and interviews with potential beneficiaries and their families and complete the Family Qualification Form and take photos
? Explain to each family the purpose of the visit
? Enter all field data on appropriate files on HSCV sever
o Assign families and/or children to appropriate programs
o Oversee decision made for families that have been interviewed by other HSCV-Team members.
o Re-interview each family on a needs basis and no less once ever two years.
